These sizes are only guidelines to approximate sizing, and should not be used in order to design an actual book or magazine. If you’re creating collateral pieces (like custom envelopes) to go with your finished book, please refer to the book size chart below. You can find additional information on trim and bleed at the bottom of the page. Every book’s spine is a different width. If you want to calculate the thickness of your book’s spine, use our spine calculator to automatically multiply the number of pages times the thickness of the paper.Taking time to make sure your spine width is correct alleviates. Does the doPDF Software work on a Mac? No, it does not. But on a Mac you have a PDF tool already built into your operating system, and all you have to do is save your document as a PDF, and it will embed the fonts for you. You can check out your book thickness with our book spine calculator. If your page count is under 100 pages, you shouldn't add spine text. Also, spine text needs at least 0.0625' (1.6 mm) on either side so that the text doesn't wrap onto the front or back cover. Book details. As you add text to your cover, make sure it exactly matches the book details (e.g., title, author name, edition, ISBN) entered during title.

You can do all that by moving down the Unclutter interface by moving up your curser to the menu bar and then slide down with two fingers. Of course, there are other apps to take down notes like and you can just use a folder to dump stuff into, but Unclutter takes away a few steps out of this process and is, therefore, a very convenient tool.

Additional Trim and Bleed Information
Page trim: These measurements show final trimmed page sizes. The printer takes approximately 1/8' (.3175 cm) off the top, bottom, and outside edge (face) of an untrimmed page to produce the trimmed page size. Variations of up to 1/8' can occur from printer to printer to aid in binding, so please keep critical content at least 1/4' (.635 cm) away from final trim sizes.
Bleed: Images can bleed off the page, but please be mindful that trim is not always exact (as this is a custom manufacturing process). If you're designing your own pages in InDesign or Photoshop, please be sure to keep critical content—images and text—at least 1/4' (.635 cm) away from final trim sizes and at least one inch (2.5 cm) from your book's edges for ImageWrap covers.
