For sure I didn't explicitly authorize any app installation within last few days (except of vmWare Fusion upgrade to version 11, which I believe is definitely not related to this).

From EtreCheck report I see it points to /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.installer.osmessagetracing.plist and /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/OSInstaller.framework/Versions/A/Resources/OS MessageTracer, I believe normally no 3rd party application or maybe maliciously crafted Safari webpage should never have permissions to write and install to those locations except of legitimate Apple software, especially without any notification and permission request to the user, am I right?


(I have recently opened webpage with pop-up saying like 'There are 13 viruses detected on my system.. Immediate action necessary.. etc.' Of course I didn't take any action, I have closed the page, and Safari, I didn't let anything to install. But now I'm a bit afraid if even though something could go wrong? So far I don't see any suspicious behavior, any unusual load on the system or network, nothing special apart that new Launch Daemon appeared in EtreCheck's report.)
