Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
Windows 10 Compatibility If you upgrade from Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, some features of the installed drivers and software may not work correctly.
- Confirm the settings of the wireless access point.
- Make sure you connect your wireless device (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.) to the Brother machine using the wireless network.
- Launch your wireless device's web browser and type http://10.10.100.1 in the address bar.
- Type the password.
If you view the scanned image in the browser, view or change the network settings for the first time, the Password Setup screen appears. Set your password and click Apply.
- Click Settings and then Brother Online Setting.
- Confirm the account setting for BR-Docs configure it again.
- Make sure you connect your wireless device (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.) to the Brother machine using the wireless network.
- Make sure the wireless access point is powered on.
- Move your machine to an obstruction-free area or closer to the wireless access point.
- Choose the SSID of the wireless access point you want to use again.
- Launch your wireless device's web browser and type http://10.10.100.1 in the address bar.
If the Home screen doesn't appear, make sure you connect your wireless device (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.) to the Brother machine using the wireless network.
- Type the password if required.
- Click Settings => Brother Online Setting => Wi-Fi for Internet Access.
- Choose the SSID of the wireless network you want to connect.
- A dialog for entering the password will be displayed. Enter the password.
- Launch your wireless device's web browser and type http://10.10.100.1 in the address bar.
- Confirm the IP address of the wireless access point.
- Launch your wireless device's web browser and type http://10.10.100.1 in the address bar.
If the Home screen doesn't appear, make sure you connect your wireless device (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.) to the Brother machine using the wireless network.
- Type the password if required.
- Click Settings and then Status.
- Confirm the IP address.
- If the IP address is 0.0.0.0, configure the IP address by using DHCP.
- If the IP address is other than 0.0.0.0, check with your network administrator for the IP address to use. And then, configure the IP address again.
- If the IP address is 0.0.0.0, configure the IP address by using DHCP.
Only for users who use the MAC address filtering of the wireless access point:
Confirm the MAC address of the Brother machine is allowed in the filter.
Tap on the minus (-) sign to delete it from the list. Hit Apply. Mac can't find software update after downloading download.
- Launch your wireless device's web browser and type http://10.10.100.1 in the address bar.
- Power off the wireless access point and then power on it again.
- Turn off the machine's Wi-Fi switch and then turn on it again.
- Power off the machine and then power on it again.

(Windows PC)
The latest drivers/utilities compatible with Windows are available in the Downloads section. Follow the steps below to check the operating system (OS), and go to the Downloads section.
Check the version of Windows
- Hold down the (Windows) key on the keyboard and type R key. Or click Start => Run.
- Type 'winver' in the empty field. Then, click OK.
- Check the version of Windows. That is the operating system (OS) you are using.

Following is the instructions to check the system type of Windows, 32-bit or 64-bit.
(Windows 10)
- Click (Start) => (Settings).
- Click System.
- Click About and check the System type. This is the version that is displayed as your system type.

- Choose About This Mac from the Apple menu.
